About This Pathway
The Leadership & Operations Pathway prepares students for the business and operational side of a performing arts organization. Students gain hands-on experience in customer service, front desk support, student transitions, events, inventory, merchandise, administrative tasks, studio organization, and leadership. Dance-class enrollment is not required for this pathway.
Who Can Apply
Students age 11 and older who are interested in leadership, customer service, business operations, events, administration, or behind-the-scenes studio management. Students do not need to be enrolled in dance classes at MAD to participate in this pathway.
How STEP Works
Students participate in structured training, weekly assignments, supervised practical experience, professional development, feedback, and evaluation. Placement and advancement are based on readiness, performance, professionalism, and program needs.
