WHAT ARE INFORMAL SHOWINGS?

Informal Showings are a way to access the progress of content learned in class to date. It is not a concert it is just a brief showing of information and each class will present a short lecture demonstration, combination of movement, or a short dance. It is an important step to prepare for our big concert as it builds confidence in each dancer and allows them to understand why they work so hard in class. It also gives you, the parent, a chance to see what they have been learning week after week!

WE TAKE A LEVEL GROUP PICTURE AFTER EACH SHOW.

PLEASE STAY UNTIL THE END!

Below are some frequently asked questions about informal.

If there are any other questions you have please send us an email at info@mdacdemydance.com

WHAT TIME SHOULD MY DANCER ARRIVE?

See the schedule above for your dancer’s level arrival time. Dancer's should arrive at the arrival time set by the schedule so we can get them checked in. If they arrive before the time there will not be anyone to help as the staff and volunteers will be on a break in between each show.

Please be ON TIME!!!

DO I NEED TO STAY WITH MY DANCER BACKSTAGE?

No, dancers are expected to operate independently that day. Volunteers and our faculty and staff will be there to assist dancers backstage. The best thing you can do for your dancer is LABEL EVERYTHING!!! And make sure they have a dance bag to place all needed dance shoes. Please drop off and find your seat so you have a good view of your dancer. We will have a provision for the dancers who are ages 2-3 (look out for an email).

DO DANCERS HAVE TO STAY THE ENTIRE DAY?

NO! Dancers are only required to arrive for their allotted LEVEL TIME. You are welcome to see any of the shows that day! There are 3 separate shows according to level.

ARE COSTUMES NEEDED?

We do have a photographer on site to capture the day and we want to be able to catch your dancer looking flawless. Please be sure your dancer looks professional and camera ready!!!
