COVID-19 has changed the way we operate, but will not change the level excellence we strive to give our students and families. The Maryland Academy of Dance is prepared to safely continue to serve you. We will continue to keep a healthy and safe learning environment.
As always, we appreciate your continued support as we navigate this new normal together.
This model will split the class in two groups, group A and group B. Each group will alternate, on group coming to the studio for class while the other group will take class at home via Zoom Meetings.
We will allow only 8 students in each class at the studio.
Zoom will be a vital resource, ensuring we balance safety while effectively training our dancers.
THERE IS ALSO A VIRTUAL ONLY OPTION!
All dancers will be dropped off in the parking loop at the front of the building. Upon arrival, a MAD team member will greet your dancer, escort them to he door, take their temperature and direct them to wash their hands.
At pick-up, dancers will be dancers will be dismissed together and led outside by their teacher. Parents will wait in their cars for their dancer at the pick up line. A MAD team member will guide your dancer to your car.
DROP OFF/ PICK-UP
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 the lobbies at MAD are CLOSED!
Gathering in the lobby and other common areas will not be permitted. Drop off will happen valet style at the glass doors. If you have questions or need any assistance please schedule a meeting with any one of our MAD admin staff, send us an e-mail or for immediate assistance call the studio.
All students and teachers are required to wear a face mask as well as a face shield while in the studio. Wearing a cloth face covering protects your neighbor; when your neighbor wears a cloth face covering they are protecting you! Students need a reusable water bottle, all water fountains are closed.
Students must also have yoga mats, only used inside of the studio. One face shield will be provided for each student on the first day of class, but it is the parent's responsibility to ensure the dancer has a face shield for the remainder of the school year.
